August 7, 2009 while out on Lake Michigan, a family of 4 had capsized their boat and were in the water for about 20 minutes before we came along and pulled them aboard the Wild Thing. USCG Captain Frank has successfully fished all 5 of the Great Lakes. He caught his first Lake Michigan salmon in 1970 and has been pursuing Great Lakes trout and salmon ever since. Since retiring from a career in law enforcement in 1999, Captain Frank has been a full-time fisherman. USCG Captain Elaine grew up on a northern Michigan lake and has been fishing since she was a child. She has over 20 years experience fishing for Great Lakes trout and salmon. Since graduating from college, Captain Elaine has worked for 10 years in law enforcement and over 15 years in education. During the summer school break Captain Elaine is a full-time charter captain. Our goal is to share our experience and expertise with you and your guests so that you can experience the thrill and excitement of Great Lakes big-game fishing at its best!
